Dual Immersion Fact Sheet

Program Mission: To prepare a multilingual/multicultural citizenry who can serve and compete locally and globally. 

Program Goals: To develop bi-literate/bi-lingual proficiency, high academic achievement, and positive cross cultural competencies and attitudes in students. 

Program Model: The cohort will participate in a 50/50 One-Way Spanish Model. 


Students will spend 50% of their day learning core content in English and the other 50% in Spanish. Reading/Language Arts/Social Studies will be taught in English. Math/Science will be taught in Spanish. Students will receive reinforcement of skills taught in the opposite language.

Parents will be updated on student progress on a continuous basis throughout the school year by the partner teachers using formal assessments such as Star Literacy, Eureka Math Assessments, and other assessments created by the DLI instructional team.
